Tommy's 1st lost tooth!!!
Well my son Tommy lost his first tooth on Thursday. Whe he first noticed that his tooth was loose, he couldn't wait for it to fall out! So to help the process he's been jigglying it ever since (maybe 2 weeks) and on Saturday the 20th (lyssa's party) he noticed that it was really loose and he couldn't eat as well...but he wouldn't let Tomas take it out...so Tomas told him that he'd have until this Friday (the 26th) to get it out or his dad was going to do it. So by Thursday his tooth was hanging off, so his dad made him pull it out. He cried a little bit but he was okay. He said he wanted to eat an apple now, but he has 2 other loose teeth right next to the one he lost, so still no whole apples for him :(
My Lyssa's 9th birthday
I can't believe my baby girl has turned 9 already!!! I remember when she was a baby and was only the size of my arm...she's just not a baby anymore. She's so different now, not in a bad way, but her personality is really starting to show. She's always been a little diva in training, and I take full responsibility of that, well kind of, we all kind of made her that way :) she's spoiled rotten by me, her daddy and her grandparents. She's there only granddaughter, so of course she's going to be spoiled! She's really silly most of the time and she's really into singing right now. She sings ALL the time, in the car, in her room, while she's writing, playing and taking a shower! That girl loves to sing. I remember one time she even asked me, "mommy, aren't you glad you have a daughter like me?" and before I could answer she added, "a daughter who's a great singer?" and I couldn't help but laugh a little bit, but I answered "yes, baby, I'm super happy to have a great singer as a daughter."
So anyway, Alyssa turned 9 on March 22nd and unfortunately we weren't able to have a bounce house or a pinata, like she wanted....not cause we didn't want to but because for some reason, the weather did not want to cooperate on that day...no it didn't just rain a little or be windy, nope it had to get super cold and SNOW!!! yes, people snow! WTH is what we all said that day... but we went ahead and thru her a party anyway, cause that is what she wanted, and our families and friends came over and celebrated with us. She had a great time! Like I've said before my daughter is spoiled, but she didn't throw a fit when we cancelled the outdoor stuff, she did cry in her daddy's arms for a little bit, but she understood and she was just happy to have her family and few friends over... that's all that mattered to my Lyssa and I have to say that is something that I am very proud of...she is able to see that family and close friends are what's important...and well that they all show you up with presents in hand on your birthday :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYSSA!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

San Antonio Trip
January, we went on a little family trip to San Antonio. The kiddos had no clue where we were going or what we were up to...they just knew this little car trip was turning into a long one. I think when we got to Waxachie, we finally told them and surprise they were super excited.
The reason we were taking them was to go see the Monster Jam Truck Show - Tommy's fav! We got a nice room at a Best Western and it had an indoor swimming pool, so the majority of our trip we were at the pool! The kids LOVED it! They were really happy to be out of town in a new place and doing what they love to do - SWIM! I wanted to go eat at some spots that I had heard about on Food Network, I think we only tried 2 places from my list... They were really good! The day of the Monster Jam show, we tricked the kids into thinking we were going to a Ballet performance - man they were so not looking forward to that. But as we got closer to the stadium they knew we were lying...they got tired of us tricking them, but we do it for a reason... they won't bug as much about where we're going if they don't know about it... Its a theory of ours - not sure how much longer we can keep it up without totally frustrating our kids. Anyway, they loved it - they both got some stuffed monster trucks and couldn't wait to go back to the pool. I wanted to do some sight seeing but they preferred the pool, which in the end, was a better choice. Can't wait for us to do another little road trip together. Maybe this summer?????
